Fractional COO // AI-augmented ops

Scaling remote teams without burning them out.

Most companies already have AI somewhere.

Very few changed who does what.

That second part is my job.

I design how people and AI agents split the work in remote companies with 10 to 500 people.

Eva Spexard

Why AI stalls in real companies

The refund agent worked fine. The team never trusted it.

Nobody gave the agent a job description. Or the humans a new one.

"Let's hire someone better" and "let's give it to AI" are the same reflex.

Buying the tool is the easy bit. The hard part is changing the work around it, and that's an operations problem.

The audit

The Human/Agent Split

A fixed-scope audit of how work actually moves through your company, and what should move to agents. Three to four weeks.

  • Workflow map

Every recurring workflow sorted into three piles: automatable, agent-prepared but human-owned, and undocumented knowledge.

  • Ownership rules

Who owns each workflow, when an agent escalates and to whom, and what that means for job descriptions and compliance.

  • AI guardrails

Which tools are approved, what data can go into them and who signs off. Written as a short policy your team will read and follow.

  • 90-day sequence

A ranked change plan with owners and dates.

Fixed scope · fixed fee · 3 to 4 weeks.

This business runs on agents

I run my own business this way. Meet the team.

  • Hedy

    Strategy

Named after Hedy Lamarr, film star and inventor.

Never: sends anything, or agrees a price or date for me.

  • Lillian

    Ops

Named after Lillian Gilbreth, who studied how work actually gets done.

Never: changes prices, terms or scope without my OK in writing.

  • Nellie

    Research and ideas

Named after Nellie Bly, the investigative journalist.

Never: posts for me. What goes on LinkedIn comes from me.

Player 1: about Eva

Hey, I'm Eva.

I've worked for US companies with European teams my whole career, first in people ops, now in operations.

I design and train agentic systems for small to medium-sized companies.

I care about creating environments that scale without burning people out.

And I promise I'm not AI, even though "LL.M." sounds like it. (It means I studied law before LLMs were even a thing 😉)

What I believe

  • Good operations work for the company, the people in it and its customers.
  • Agents can run whole workflows on their own: they reason through the task, use the tools, check their work and hand over when something needs a person. Humans set the direction, keep oversight and make the calls that matter, especially the ones about people.
  • If AI is that good, why is everyone working more? It should give us time back.
  • Agents need what any new hire needs: a clear job description, the right tools and instructions.
  • AI shouldn't belong to a handful of billionaires. The people it affects should have a say in how it's used.
  • I believe in building in public and sharing what I learn.

FAQ

Do you work with US companies?

Mostly. Especially ones with teams in the US and Europe, or spread across the world.

What about security, GDPR, works councils and the AI Act?

They're part of the audit from day one. You get clear rules on which tools and data are allowed, written so people follow them.

English or German?

Both.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of your company and where you're starting from. Let's talk it through.
